I need help in estimating costs and how to set up a drip irrigation system.

I'm looking to grow some indoor mystery seeds!

Can anyone help me with a genuine list of all parts needed including prices/places to buy them for a drip irrigation system similar to the one Mr. Green has? I can not find a lot of the parts locally, any idea of a store that has them? [Lowes and Wal*Mart do not have these things, except the totes and some pumps].

Also, I am thinking about buying a prefabricated one that is efficient. I need a 6 planter with the drip nozzle/spike feeder system. I also need to determine which is cheaper a month, running a bunch of cfl lights to match 400w hps lumen with full color spectrum, or an actual 400 watt hps system with ballast and MH conversion 400watt lamp added for vegging.
So, if I could get some general help I'd appreciate it.
It's a 2' x 4' semi-stealth room.
I've seen a lot of hydroponics systems [homemade] on the Bay.
Is it cheaper to make one of these myself? Most likely it would be because they are selling these to make some profit, but what would the difference be?
Can I make a nice hydroponics fully running system, 6 plants, for less than $50-$60? [What they are going for on the "Bay"].

I'm looking to set up for my first time ever and I've been researching for about 6 months now.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

i went out and bought these things yesterday for under 40$

1 - 2 gallon coleman cooler 8$
1 - submersible air pump
1 - dripper
1 - set of 1/4" tubing
1 - 12" styrofoam disc for top of cooler

if you don't have walmart then look at academy sports or gander mountain. the styrofoam disc i bought at hobby lobby and the other stuff i got at the local hydro store. hope this helps
