i just bought some neem oil to get rid of my bugs on my baby, but i was wondering if it was ok to use neem oil even though your plant is entering her 6weeks of flowering. is it gonna affect the buds???

Sure those aren't fungus gnats you have? It's best to use it no later than a 1/3 of the way into flowering, maybe 1/2, neem will definitely affect the taste and quality of your yield - depends on the strain you're growing, then, if you're growing a fussy, magnificent, long-flowering sativa, you might be OK to use it at this point. :leaf:

What do the bugs look like? Any damage done you're positive is linked to them?

If you have to, though, here's how to mix it up:

Also, if an infestation has warranted the use of neem, it's best to start it now, because you'll have to do some more applications of it (typically a week apart).

Edit: If you find out it is something like fungus gnats, which pupate in your soil, then go ahead and put around 1" of sand on the top of your soil (which I assume you're using, might be wrong) and that should be fairly effective, plus it won't affect your babies. :weed:

Spray them with "FLORAMITE" and they will be dead. Mix 4 drops per litre and soak your plants with it via spraying them. This works for 28+ days and will destroy mites.

Floramite is a miticide, and will certainly take care of spider mites, and I just realized that sciarid flies are fungus gnats. Suspecting they were fungus gnats given your description makes a lotta sense now. XD

You want something for gnats, although the same line that produces floramite also makes:

Which is what you would want for fungus gnats, not Floramite, or something similar like AzaMax, organic and safe.

Edit: for fungus gnats, a foliar spray is OK, but a soil drench is preferred (or both) since that's where gnats like to chill, just get your mixture to soak the entire soil and root ball, like a reg watering

no worries about neem in flowering, even up to harvest day
the worst thing it will do is give a slightly bad taste, much better than losing your crop to bugs anyway.

u need to apply something on the pot / rootsystem and not on leaves/buds !
both gnats aand sciarids do damage as larvaes and not as flying adults

if they are only a few u shouldnt do anything more than letting pots gets light in weight
