i need a cool tube

I bought a 400 watt hps from high tech garden supply. the heat in my grow box is too high, so i think i need a cool tube hood now. i attempted to build a cool tube with a hurricane glass and hooked it to my exhaust, but there are problems with it and i dont know how im going to hook up anything to the other side. plus its barely longer than the bulb. i think i will be better off spending $100 or so for a new hood that will work more efficiently and hook it up to a dedicated exhaust.

is it an easy process to change the hood using my ballast?

is there an alternative im not considering?

im planning on gettin a 250 HPS/MH with a cool tube from HTGsupply, are they reliable?, how was the shipping?

i dont remember the price of shipping. i just remember it came ups and i think took maybe a week to show up.

i wasnt ready to use it when it came 3 months ago, i just put it to use about 2 1/2 weeks ago. working perfect so far
