well we tried the ole silkscreen that turned into shit, so off to best buy for a blender, after getting the blender we added cut water and ice, we used the rookie hurry the fuck up approach, i think we washed a ton down the sink we ended up green as money and maybe 10 grams, after the ghetto hash-it i got i think i will invest in better hardware.

this aint no fdd hash, i got alot of work to do. mine wont compact

Your supposed to freeze the weed before you silk screen it so the THC has firm crystals. Are you trying to compact it without heat? You should put it all in plastic, like the plastic off of a cigarette box. Tape it shut then add some newspaper around it and tape that on it. Saturate it with water then put it in the oven on 160 degrees F (or 75C). Keep it in there for 10 minutes. Then roll the wrapped hash with a metal bar or rolling pin as hard as you can to compress it. Saturate and bake again if desired. When your done rolling, put it in the fridge to cool off.

Unwrap it and your left with a HARD brick of hash depending on how hard you pressed it. Theres a video about it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyXBWndhhss if your a visual stoner (like me) but I like writing this kind of shit :P.

Another way is to go drive around in your card for a while, get the tires nice and warmed up, then pull back in your spot and put the hash in a strong plastic bag and roll over it, it'll compact it in about 15 minutes, never tried it with weed but it should work.

i mush mine together in my palm. when you screen it you want it dry. don't crumble up the leaves. you DO NOT want the leaves to crumb up. gently place a handful of trim on the screen and shake LIGHTLY. you DO NOT want to break up the trim. when i make bubble hash my leaves are still whole after i am done. the biggest mistake to make is to get leaf particles in your hash. be very gentle with it. when dry the crystals fall off very easily when shaken.

I haven't done a bho extraction in about a year or so. Now that I think about it though...I do have a few cans hangin' about and just saw the tube a few weeks ago... hmmmmm.....

A friend of mine made me a drum tumbler/kif seperator that is made from a 98 micron screen mounted inside a 5 gallon bucket. The bucket is then mounted on a rotisserre' skewer/motor (it's a Weber) and I made a stand for it to all sit upon...and used the large peice of glass barely visible in the photo below.
The pile shown weighs 46 grams and was sifted from 550 grams of guard leaves and small popcorn buds. Yum.

The other thing I've been trying is a bit of the bubble. I bought some silkscreen and rip stop and the better half sewed me up some bubble bags that fit into a 5 gallon bucket. I have experimented/read and experimented more...and have narrowed it down to the point that I feel i get a good return and a very nice product for the effort. (not that hard, I'm just whining for effect)

Fresh frozen trim works the best in this process, IMO. The second most important thing is COLD. I placxe a bucket of ice cubes/water in the freezer and let it sit for a good hour r until it *just* starts to freeze up...then I bash it all apart and agitate the water for a few minutes...and then pour it into the bucket with the frozen trim. I then agitate the ice/water for about 10 minutes...let it sit for 15 minutes...agaitate it again....then run it all through the bags. The COLDER the BETTER.

The top bag in my set up is a paint straining bag fron Home Depot (good place to start to get a bag set up). It collects the junk/unusable product and starts the process of straining it all out.

Each of the following bags collect smaller and smaller trich particles. My bags collect 110 micron...80 micron..and 60 micron trichomes. The 80 and 60 are the finest products. After I'm done scraping it all off the bags and pressing it to dry, I then wash the bags in the bucket of remaining water...and then let that sit overnight. In the AM I dip off most of the water...all but a few cups...then i strain that botom of the bucket stuff through a coffee filter. I use the 110 and the coffee filter "hash" (isn't pliable/won't press) for baking.

The stuff in the pics is the 60 and 80 micron bubble. It's pliable...and it's damn devestating and so very, very tasty.

cough, cough...

...dry your fan leaves you pucked off the buds and plant, freeze them and get a bubble bag kit for some mid major bucks, the hash you get with those will balance your spending within one or to grows depending on your size.

We learn from our mistakes abud.
Luckily you have plenty of weed to experiment with.

Let us now about your next attempt and what you would recommend as far as do's and don'ts.

He basically cut out all of the bucket except about a 1" strip...then he wrapped the inside of the bucket with the stainless screen (he got it in CA..so I can find out where if you'd like) and made some aluminum pieces w/ holes that fit over the remaining plastic strip and are drilled out...etc. These metal peices sandwich the screen onto the bucket. He then took some sort of latex/silicone and caulked all around the screen on the inside of the bucket and out.

The Skewer comes with the motor..and he then drilled out the top/bottom of the bucket so the prongs fit in and the thing can spin with the shaft.

I tell ya..this kicks ass bro. I was amazed how many trichs came out....and these strains aren't that high in trich content like a hash plant os SK#1 is. (I'm trying to get trim from friends with a SK1 grow that is sugary as Hell)

lemme know if ya need any otherr info..etc.
