I love this shyte!

I have a love for weed, since I was a kid! i'm just getting into small time growing. i'm in oregon now, on some secluded acreage and I really wanna find my niche- not necessarily be a grower but I'm giving it a shot. I decided to post after finding a male in my garden and needing clarification- before this i always went from clone. I've always had some kind of garden or project involving nature, aside from my corporate job which i hate lol. Nature grounds me, so anything with trees (no stoner pun intended) and water - especially forest/woodlands intrigues me.

My dream in life is to do something with this plant that will allow me to sustain myself and my family, while doing something I love and helping others. i believe in the very core of my being, the ability of this plant to give joy to others, to help heal the sick, the help turn our country around by helping the economy significantly, and to do good. The people I've met so far in the growing community have become like best friends to me, and I'm all about community and helping others. As the walls of prohibition come crashing down, I feel it's time for more people to come together and do really big things. i envision a time where all 9 of my humble acres are devoted to cannabis, healing plants, herbs, garlic, ginseng, goldenseal etc- gardening useful and helpful products with friends/partners, that's my dream.

This forum is truly amazing and I really appreciate it. peace!

Hi cherokee420 and welcome to RIU. My father told me years ago (he's a retired IMB accountant) that the most successful people he knew were the ones who followed their life's passion. Just like you i have been torn between my very comfortable corporate salary and secretly wanting to educate the world about the holistic healing properties of cannabis, well last year my dad was diagnosed with brain cancer and however tragic this event has caused me to throw caution to the wind and live out my life's purpose (and i have never been happier).
