It's not impossible to clone a auto. However it is impossible to stop the autos clock. Your cloned auto is the same age and stage as the parent. Trying to bud with little roots. And will finish the same time 2Since I'm still new at this. One of my lower branches I trimmed off my auto I successfully cloned. And she has 2 buds.
She is behind in growth from the mother. But she's cute. All of my other clone attempts have failed.

Just what I figured. But I'm going to let it finish. I still learning. It's not impossible to clone a auto. However it is impossible to stop the autos clock. Your cloned auto is the same age and stage as the parent. Trying to bud with little roots. And will finish the same time 2

The mother has nice buds developing. We all are still learning.
I would question what the possible good result would be if you cripple the plant. Having a reduced root system is pretty crippling.
Had a few branches on my auto's that got broken while watering left them alone and have nice buds developing.
Why could this not be used as an "advanced scrog"? Separate the lowers from the mother so they can get proper light and grow decent nugs instead of larf? Would providing ample moisture compensate for the low root mass?I would question what the possible good result would be if you cripple the plant. Having a reduced root system is pretty crippling.
I'm in a 2 x 2 with 3 plants in it. I rotate the pots each day to make sure that the lights are evenly spread. I'm also running side lights along with the top light. The AC Infinity IONBEAM S16 lights are on all 4 poles. Why could this not be used as an "advanced scrog"? Update, It has a giant little bud.Hope you carry through with this clone to the end. I'm interested to see how it works out for you, so good luck!
Update, It's getting fat. The pot size is 3".Hope you carry through with this clone to the end. I'm interested to see how it works out for you, so good luck!
Because autos start flowering after 4-5 weeks usually and cloning takes all the energy to make fresh new roots that takes a few weeks.now you could have had a plant with lots of branches that are 2-3 times longerWhy could this not be used as an "advanced scrog"? I plan on only growing autos. I love it so far.Yea do it.i never saw in my life anybody that kept an auto after the first harvest.it would be interesting to see
That’s funny. My first auto harvest was a mess. 50% success rate (if you can call it that). But that harvest plus an outdoor plant kept me out of the dispo for the months it took to get the second harvest slightly better. Pulled 3/4lb from four autos in my last go. A success. This round, a step backwards. Always learning and dealing with new curveballs. It’s part of the reason autos are fun I guess - fast turn around. It’s like my experience with disc golf: gonna get this shit right. And every once in a while it really flies perfectly. Played a round yesterday, lol. While smoking some fine home grown.Yea do it.i never saw in my life anybody that kept an auto after the first harvest.it would be interesting to see
I keep getting freebie auto seeds with orders so I just throw ‘em in this stealth box and let ‘em do their thing. I’m a photo all day kinda dude, but autos can be fun to experiment with. This is Purple Lemonade still chuggin’ along. She’s still throwing out new pistils, so I’m like, keep on gurl. Done when she says she isThat’s funny.
