With all the terrible things going on in the world (America in particular) RIU is like a safe refuge from it all. This is really my only refuge from it all. Instead of letting things stress me out throughout the day I fire up RIU and entertain myself, learn, and pass the time with some great people that all share a common interest. We help each other figure out problems, improve our gardens, start the occasional community dumpster fire for entertainment, and it's refreshing each and every day. It's a safe refuge from all of the horrible people and horrible things going on presently. I've been a member since 2008, and man has life changed a lot for me since then. Fortunately RIU has not changed. It's still a great place filled with great people helping each other out for a good cause - growing as much great dope as possible. I can dig that, and I'm glad all of you do too :) Have a great day everyone, and do something great today!

Yesterday I made my first batch of bubble hash, and thanks to excellent advice on RIU it turned out fantastic!

Low quality for edibles. A bit of plant matter got in the patty due to operator error.

Congrats on the hash. Break that big hash ball down to smaller pieces and it will dry faster and doesn't trap mold. I chop mine up but I noticed people don't like it like that when selling. Also, why the hash is still in the bags you can ring out a lot of the water using the screen and get it drying faster.

Thanks for the advice. I didn't realize just how much water was trapped inside. Today I pressed hard and water pushed out of the patty. Freaked me out a bit. I lost the 25 micron screen that came with the bubble bags for pressing the material. I'm ordering another one off amazon. You are correct. It's vital to the process in ringing out the water.

Looking good. You got quite a bit, how much product did you run? Was it bud or shake?

It was all just trim from my last harvest. Some small larfy buds that weren't saleable to patients also. I would guess about 8 ounces was the quantity that went in. I still have another bag of the same size to process tomorrow. I'm definitely impressed with the yield, particularly off of the stems :)
