I have a 4x8 grow tent should i go with a 600watt or 1000watt

Hey guys i need a little help i have a 4x8 grow tent and im not sure on what kind of light i should buy.I know i want a HPS sodium but im not sure on what wattage i shoud get a 600 or 1000.I plan on having it vented out really good with incoming and outgoing fans and i want to have the best llight possible without over doing it with the space i have.So what is it guys 600watt or 1000wattThanks for the help

i would get 2 1000W HPS, and an aeroflo60

is it 4x4x8? if so the 600 would be the way to go. the 1000 will be so high to keep from burning the plant you will lose any thing you would gain. or better yet do 2 600's temps will be lower and you end up with 1200watts.

1000W in a 4X4 tent...its not too hot at all!! you just have to have a good fan suckin air through that hood.

Large parabolic reflectors can evenly light the entire tent with an 1000 watt and you can get them nice and low over the plants due to the size of the reflector

wats a parabolic reflector? you mean the like big round ones? i have always been interested in them, they seem they cover more sq footage.

In a 4x8 tent you will need a sealed hood with ventilation. I dont think they make a parabolic reflector that is sealed.

a 1000watter covers a 4x4 area and a 600watter covers a 3x3...so like my man smokey says u can go with 2 1000watter OR u can put 3 600watters in there..i use 2 600s in a 4x4 tent..u just need good air flow. good luck.

Im going to go with a 1000 watt for 12 plants to start off with.Im doing bubbleponics in 3 gallon black buckets with 6" net baskets.Im going to use foxfarm nutes,is foxfarm good nutes to use.And what is the reason for the sealed hood.

sounds good, i never used bubbleponics or foxfarms...but the hood is used to air cool ur light..

i would get at least a 1000 watter, if it were me id get 2 600s, more effecient
