hi guys, i havent grown in many years but i have come into possesion of 20 various autoflowering seeds. 10 x royal dwarf, 5 x little cheese & 5 x green-o-matic. i have an old 1000w hps light but the globe has been used for at least 1500 hours and i had a lot of issues with heat last time in a 2m(l)x2.4m(w)x2.4m(h) growroom. this time i want to do a smaller growroom prehaps about 1.5m(l)x1.5m(w)x2m(h) using the sea of green method so the old light is out of the question. i was looking at using led lights as i believe they should eliminate any heat issues. i have been reading lots of conflicting information on led's but the basic consensus is that bigger diods the better. i have read in several places to avoid 1w diods. some forums even say to avoid lights with 2w diods and only use lights with 3w diods. if any one could give me advice on what wattage ledlight would be appropriate for the growroom i want to build and also advise good brands and brands to avoid. as leds are expensive i would be open to any other lighting suggestions anyone has for a room this size. the other idea i had was to do a small closet set up with maybe 3 or 4 plants at a time under a good small led light. does anyone know if a 90w ufo light would be sufficient for such a set up or what size light would be. i'm going to grow in a perlite mix in 30cm round 10L pots. i would be happy if i could pull 1oz per plant. any advice or suggestions anyone has would be appreciated.
