I hate unpacked seeds

Hello!
I live in Switzerland (French speaking part, sorry for my English)
I’m into breeding and growing for a while.
I ordered my first seeds 20+ years ago. Since then, I ordered from several seedbanks. I ALWAYS asked for original breeder’s packs. I never had any troubles at any borders with any order, be it from Austria, Netherland, Spain or UK. I have to point it out, because borders are the main reason why seedbanks repack the seeds.
But on my three last orders, from two different seedbanks, I received my seeds unpacked... I hate that with a passion. Mainly when you choosed the "original breeder’s pack"option when ordering!!
I always loved the original breeder’s packs (I worked in advertisement/marketing in the past, maybe that explains that...?) and that really strongly disappoints me to receive my highly-waited beans in a poor sad little random plastic bags. One seedbank didn’t even put the strain name on the bag, only the article number from their website!
I have a real passion for cannabis for the best part of the last 25 years. Every aspects. Outdoor/indoor growing, soil/hydro/etc., genetic/breeding, and of course consumption too.
I’m really serious when it comes to breeding, and that’s one of the reason I’d like to have some first-hand (litteraly!) genetics to begin with.
In my book, seeds that have been removed from the sealed pack the breeder put them in, aren’t first-hand seeds anymore. I think it makes perfect sense.

I really hate unpacked seeds for many reasons.
First, many breeders offer free replacement of non-germinated seeds only WHEN THE ORIGINAL PACKAGE IS PROVIDED. For example, Serious Seeds even have a batch number on their packages, that way they can find which batch is susceptible to gave germination problems, for further customer’s feedbacks.

Second, how can I be sure of what’s in the pack, if unpacked!? I’m not accusing them of selling random birds-feeding hemp seeds, but, I mean, imagine the opposite : the seedbank send you seeds in original breeder’s pack, and for whatever reason you send them back in a neutral plastic bag. Do you think there’s a single chance on earth to get your money back!? Of course not, and within good reason! Why the f*** should we accept that the other way!?

Third, to my knowledge, every seedbanks under the sun sell cannabis seeds as "collectibles", since germination is forbidden in many countries. That leads to my question : What’s the f’point in collecting unpacked seeds, lol !!?? Seriously!? Selling collectibles in random bags... That, to me, sadly reinforces the feeling of total hypocrisy behind that whole canna-bizz’. I think that the whole medical side of it exists just to justify the recreational side, anyway, but that would be another thread! ;)

Let me know what you think! ;)

Hey man... i share your consern... i got a couple of unpaced seeds a while ago, and i could not shake the feeling of beeing played when they did not come out as expected. A couple did not sprout, that can happen, and one that shold be a low indica came out tall sativa.
When you act as a comercial supplyer you shold give your custimer safety feeling that comes with propper packing and labeling.

When they have stuff in stock that the original grower moved on years ago, thats a red flag.
I think they restock both original 10 packs and pop a 10-pack to make a big batch of singles if it turns out to be a good seller.

Bunch of shifty weasels operating out of post office boxes started these companies, they don't change overnight.
It's just their nature to be shifty. In their mind, you are still getting exactly what you paid for.
The people filling orders don't know where the stock comes from, they just put it in an envelope with a label from the bin.

I still think that nobody would buy a Mouton-Rotschild 1986 wine in a plastic bottle, the same way that nobody would pay the crazy price for a Gibson Les Paul 1959 guitar with non-original parts on it. It just makes sense!
When I pay full price for fresh seeds from Humboldt Seeds, I’m buying the awesome engraved wood box too. That is what makes the seeds collectible.
