I cant make such a big grow box so will this work?

Digital Electronic 400 watt HPS & MH Ballast

it looks like something i would use for cfls as an adapter but in hps mode yea it doesnt come with a reflector but could i just make a hole on top of my box put the ballast thing in and screw in the bulb?

yeah that should work. how big is the box and what do u have on the walls?. if nothing try tapeing some alumenum foil on the walls to reflect more light
