This is my second time growing , but im still pretty new to it all. Anyways, The problem im having is after i put the seeds into the pot to get started, they often dont sprout or after they do sprout they soon die. this has been persistent with every seed i plant, i dont know where to start to identify the problem.. my first grow went really smooth until the end where i made a mistake of moving them to the basement where they then were infested by spider mites  but now i cant even figure out how to get em to grow a few inches.

i keep them in a greenhouse so im using natural sunlight to start the growth, im using a Pete moss mixed in perlite, also ive been using regular water for the first few days then putting in miracle grow in the water, im watering only when the soil is dry so over watering isn't an issue, umm lets see what else.. i have a ph test kit, the cheap ones with the pill stuff and the ph is 6.5 the only thing i can think of is the soil or the seeds.....

the seeds ive been getting are just out of bags ive been getting,i germinate them in a t shirt and they seem to germinate just fine. my first grow i used a different soil that my grandma recommended (shes a total hippie ) and it seemed perfect, i had little knowledge then compared to now about growing so i dunno why this is so persistent i just cant seem to get a break they just keep dying.... so any help would be sweet.

I'm a noob to growing too but if I had to guess I would say it's the fact that you're adding miracle grow to the water that's killing the seeds. A seedling is waaay too young to be giving nutes too.

Peat moss & perlite is not a soil... it's soiless medium... which falls under the category of Hydro in terms of where your PH should be. 6.5 is the VERY high end for hydro. Try adjusting your PH down to around 5.7.

Next, what is the PPM of your water? If you don't know and can't afford a meter then use distilled water from the market and PH correct it.

You are using the miracle grow to soon. You need to wait until the plants are past seedling stage and beginning of veg stage before you give them food. If you really want to feed them something early you might use a drop or two of Superthrive in a gallon of distilled water. You can get Superthrive at Wal-Mart. Essentially it's vitamins.... smells strongly like vitamin B-1.

Good luck :D

use jiffy pellets and soak those seeds in a cup of water for 12-24 hours before putting in pellet (or rockwool cubes).. no nutes/fertilizers.. keep in a warm area (covered if possible) until u see the pretty lil heads pop out).. then lite watering every other day... you'll get it.. hang in there bro

thx for the quick reply , i guess i get a little impatient with the miracle grow, also can anybody tell me if theres any chance of saving a sprout that looks the healthiest of them all, if so should i flush the pot or what

yeah flush it with a couple cups of water, tie it up if u can and put a light breeze (fan) on it.. 24 hours of light and let the soil almost dry b4 adding water.. no nutes/ferts for a couple weeks or so
