I am really stumped on what to do.

Four plants in a closet, 2 have gotten to almost 4 ft tall. The plants cannot be lowered, the lights cannot be raised. They are getting up into the lights and still growing at 5 weeks into flowering. I've tried bending and tying as much as I can. But now bending over means needing more space on the sides and it isn't there.

I can't believe I'm faced with this but I see little alternative to letting them grow into the lights and burn, or cutting of the tops where the large colas are forming. In either case I have to wonder if it is worth it or should I just tear it all out and start over. I'm feeling very frustrated and without an alternative.

Dude if ya hafta I'd say cut the main cola the rest of em will fatten up plus you'll have some premature bud to smoke. Starting over sounds like it'd be a pain in the ass esspecially 5 weeks into flowering man.

okay well i read this about 20 min ago and well i didnt know what to say it is a hard situation. well IMO i would try moving them to a different room, or cut them colas. but that would really suck, so try thinking of anywhere you can move them that is safe and a good spot to grow some buds:)

dont cut them!!!!! find a safe place to move them outside and finish. short days now it will keep flowering! it would be the biggest waste to cut them

The buds on top are still small and just beginning to show trichs, it is the end of the 4th week. Not much would be gained from them, and I'm afraid that at this late date, secondary buds won't really fill out much to make it worthwhile.

I'm considering an option of taking it all out of the closet and doing some reconfiguring in there. But getting them out and putting them back is dangerous and could do damage. I'm right now leaning that way though.

Moving them outside it out of the question. These are in hydro, the water would freeze. And this time of year a couple cfls produce more lumens than we have outside. No, if I get them out of the closet I can probably rig up another 6 inches of clearance which hopefully would be enough. Getting them out and putting them back through narrow doors will be a problem though.

try your best cuz like i said i wouldnt wanna cut them tops.
and with moving just be cautious and careful and you should be fine.
6 inches may not be enough though try more so for a foot but if 6 inches
is all you can do 6 inches is all you can do.
