Just figured I would confirm to anyone out there contemplating using MH in flowering. While I am still undecided about using MH solely while flowering I am a HUGE advocate of using it in addition to HPS for density, increased resin and trichome production.
I grew a crop of White Widow with only HPS and recently am in the middle of a second crop with HPS and MH. All I can say is WOW,this crop is my best by far. The pics below are only of four plants and only in WEEK5!!!
Variables that DID NOT CHANGE:
-Nutrients (Advanced Nutrients Bloom A and B, General Hydroponics Sweet, Humboldt County's Own Crystal Burst, Atami Bloombastic, Technaflora Thrive Alive B-1 Red, Mad FarmerMother of All Blooms).
-Water pH 6.2-6.3
-Environment 76 degrees
-Sealed glass hoods
-10 gallon pots with Pro-Mix HP soil
-3000 watts of total light
Variables that DID CHANGE:
- changed out 1- 1000w HPS bulb (placed in center of room with HPS bulbs on either side) for 1000watt MH
