Hydro V.S Soil Science Debate

I am posting this question because I have a newbie grower sending me messages debating Hydro verus soil. I am only one person so lets get a variety of opinions. I will restate my evidence in my next post. I would like to hear Veteran Growers opinion. (Veteran Grower Here). If you state an opinion please have evidence to back up what you are saying. I will collect my evidence in post it in the next couple of hours as I am not at my home computer. I also know that this can be a preference,(You can put your preference, but use science to back up your preference) but lets look at the science aspect. My stand point is soil for a variety of reasons.

Main Components we are looking at is: Potency, Yield, Flavor, Genetics, Aroma, and any other component that may or may not be effected by Soil V.S. Hydro.

I'm sub'd to this post but I hope and pray it stays scientific. We all know there's a lot of preference involved and I think hydro is cheaper.

Soil grows have won the cannabis cup.

i grow hydro and soil, and personally think a well mixed soil medium and well flushed does alot better then hydro when it comes to flavor, aroma and yeild.

soil is easier and more forgiving of mistakes like overnuting or electricity failure. hydro yeilds better. as for flavour and aroma almost everyone i know would say that they prefer the taste and smell of soil grown( but to be honest this may just be bullshit, you would really have to do a full scientific test and im not sittin rolling 30 joint for all my mates to sit and smoke and then star talkin shit coz were all wasted). ive a few soils under my belt and ive a lotta friends that do a variety so my evidence is based on a lotta personal veiwing and experience.
