so i saw what i dream of at a hydro shop. and like most things there they can be build for about 100 times cheaper.

it was a huge tray, for sea of green. maybe 6 feet by 4 feet . how could i make one on a table and have a middle drain and flow.

im looking for ideas to make the table and tray or seperatly with a hookup in th middle.

i am looking at materials and what to use currently. thanks for any help!

Try to find The VictorVicious grow--you can look him up and find it in his sig....from what I remember in his pics he used 2x6 framing to make the box and lined it with a pond liner or self-healing waterproof membrane of some kind---I would check with a pro irrigation supply house for rolls of pond liner-prob better price than HD or Lowes and you would be shopping local.

You will still need to purchase the same ebb/flow fittings and fit them in the floor of your homeade tray that would be used for a botanicare tray or other store bought units.

Check it out--did the Res/Trays look something like this??
8x4 Trays

70 Gallon Resevoirs

Store bought molded plastic trays and resevoirs are easy to keep clean and sanitary..thats the one big benefit.
That and I can trust them on my 84 year old pine floors.......see
