Hydro nutes in a soil grow?

Hello all my last grow I decided to make the change to soil and just used my ionic hydro nutes and my hammer head pk 18/9 and the grow went really well untill the end. I hadn't used any trays under the pots and wen someone else fed them for me they bottom of the tent ended up like swimming pool and my timer also failed on me and lights were on for 3 days maybe. This gave me my worst harvest ever as with hydro I never had any problems but I wasnt too sure about the pump for my nft system thats why I changed. The buds wereskinny and mostly twig and the bbigger buds were molded... I was gutted. But I am just realising that this was the first time I had used soil and hydro nutes.... Could this have added to my problem?? Or does it not matter, the way I looked at it was that it was the same chemcials feeding the plant

I have GH nutes in soil no problem.

Same shit here.I use the same nutes no matter what they are in.I add a MG Nitrogen kicker from time to time on my soil/Mom's.When I load em with Bud Food I cut the dosage a third.
