Hydro: Nute Mixing

Ive found vague general ideas on this- it seems people find their own knack.

In a hydro system---

Do you just simply mix the bottle-designated amount into the amount of water and let it go? Or is there a certain way you need to precisely add this or that nutrient? Like do I need to get the liquid nutrients in the bottle and follow its instructions for mixing into water, or how exactly do I go about adding nutes to pure water for the hydro system? Little by little? Or just mix, and let it sit- then add more a month later or so?

well, i'm new too, but i can share with you how i do it since no one else has responded. i follow the instructions for what i'm trying to acheive, vegging, transition or flowering. then i measure it with a truncheon meter. i know that at first it should measure low and go up to 1200 ppm. i'm a little foggy here since the instructions on the bottle don't specify this, so i've been taking it up slowly. also sometimes when the water evaporates i only have to add water, other times nutrients and water. it's best to have a meter. i got mine on ebay for $35.00 from singapore, they usually go for around $100, good luck!
