Hurricane/Tropical Storm Heading My Way...Suggestions?

So it looks like I will be facing a tropical storm or hurricane in the next few days. I only have a couple plants outside but they are in the ground so taking them in is out of the question. Anyone faced this before? Big storms and half way through flower. I'm a little worried. Any tips?

Not a lot you can do now. Clear the yard of anything that might become flying debris... but that won't stop missiles from elsewhere.

Hope the 'cane just deals your neighborhood a glancing blow and doesn't cause high winds.

AFTER it's blown over, what you do becomes all important; repair branches as best you can, clear away debris, etc. Give them a nice foliar feeding, not too strong, mix in some Safer Insecticidal soap to knock down any bugs that might have blown in. You're outdoors, so trying to run a pump or lights from batteries or a generator isn't needed, count your blessings- because the power outage usually lasts a lot longer than the wind and rain.

Next year grow in 15 gal smartpots.i could have sworn I looked at the weather yesterday and it was there, now it's not. We have a 140mph storm headed out way so I feel ya. Just moved here a couple of years ago from the redneck riviera in Florida where direst hits are common. Move somewhere they haven't had a bit in 20 years and bam a half dozen close calls and hits so just be prepared:peace:

Yep, we got lucky. Made it trough with just some strong thunder storms. It has been a super rainy grow season this year on the east coast. I am just hoping that I can make it to October without mold or bud rot. Seems to be raining every day for the past month or so. Thanks for the tips guys.

Put a bamboo stick next to Main stem..dont be afraid of a few missing roots..wont harm the plant..tie some string to bamboo tite and tie one to the main stem not tite at all give it space to breath and move like a finger space.. then tie another string to bamboo just above the middle of bamboo then bring string to bottom pick up all the bottoms then go around and do the whole bottom work your self up to middle of plant.. put string under each main big branch then go to bamboo and tie it tite .. you dont have to go all the way up to the plant a few feet under is good now you can go around and move your branches that got to tucked with the ropes.. and now lil buds leaves that didnt get any light have a chance of being dankk.... i call it" Ice cream Coning" because the results look like an ice cream cone.. i survied a storm rain.. when my neighboors had every single one snapped in half in theMud.. this is the fast and cheap way to do it.. im sure other ways work better.. this is the way i done it with good results..
