I left mine out last year durring dorrian but they weren't the biggest, it was my first time growing and the buds were small and the plants were only 3 feet tall. But they survived.

If I wasn't able to bring them in, I would strap the branches together cover with tarp and weigh down with something heavy, then I'd wake up and realise it was all a dream
Agreed, I'd try to cut down on the amount of wind damage they get- if you have any tight areas say between a shed and the house that would block most of the wind... otherwise I'd just ask almighty Thor to redirect the storm. Definitely wouldn't leave the branches exposed with flowers like that.

Is there any way that you could lay them on their side under the porch there? They should still get enough light to prevent herming/keep the cycle going but that would protect them from the worst of it...

(wind is my biggest fear starting an outdoor commercial op... I'm in tornado alley and we get gnarly hailstorms)

I can bring em in my garage if i had to! Its just the treslis is the only thing holding the buds up when i cut that she will sag and might break. Realy undecided yet on how to proced

Hmmm I see the issue... how much time do you have again? I'd cut the trellis out around each individual plant then toss a couple tall stakes in each pot to support the trellis... then they could be moved individually.

Or just put in some stakes and run some rope or something around to keep it up...either way it depends on how much time you have and available supplies.

I've been debating on switching from a mesh to some sort of tomato cage/individual support system for reasons like this. It would be a lot easier to work with

Oh nice, yea now that I look at the original picture closer I see them. I'd totally just cut each plant out of the trellis and tie it back into the tomato cage or stakes so you can move them individually without breaking any branches..... if you have to- that would be super quick to do last minute.

Mine will be going in the garage. No way in hell I’m rolling the dice after 6 months of work. Mine are too big to withstand the winds...they’ll be trashed if I don’t get them inside.

What really sucks is I’m going moose hunting 2 hours north for the week. I’m going to have to come home, put them in the garage, wait until the storm passes and then head back up north. What a fucking gong show this is gonna be. FMLB5907EE2-10C7-4A3E-A63D-8444265806C4.jpeg
