Humidity Dome for seedlings?

I got a free humidity dome from the local headshop. I planted a Nirvana White Widow (fem) and AK 48 (Fem) into some red keg cups of Happy Farm soil and proceeded to place them under 18/6 light schedule under a 42 watt cfl. I just started it about 3 hours ago and I put a humidity dome over the seeds...is this good or bad? Should I leave it or take it off and/or when?

And I didn't water the soil because when it came out it kind of felt moist already..should I water it or don't water seedlings?

the humidity dome is not needed, its more for clones than seedlings. i always water after transplant, its up to you though. if your soil is really moist i guess you could skip it.

I use a humidity dome because I keep my room really dry. It's a personal choice really, but if you do use it just make sure you remove it as soon as the sprout is visible! Also, don't keep your soil too wet or it can mold.
