Ooh, ooh... I've lived through -6c. I once lived in Tasmania for 3 months. It was so cold that my daughter's nappies would freeze into a solid sheet on the clothes line... the grass (which was really not much more than moss) would snap under your feet... I had to sleep right next to the central heater because the rest of the house was too cold... I walked home from the shops one day, and I swear I had a little icicle hanging from the end of my nose by the time I got home...
Then one day I told my husband that I was going home, and that if he didn't want to come with me I'd understand. Honestly... I would have left him behind... in hindsight, I probably should have anyway...

i watched a tree fall, not a very big one, maybe like 2-4 feet thick but still kewl.
i guess the road was closed earlier today cuss of some sort of "land" slide. something got on the road and it took like 4 hours to clean it up.

The other day a guy was waiting for a downed tree to be cleared off the highway here, and another tree fell and crushed his car and killed him. What are the chances?

That shit SUCKS.....here in NC we got hit with one bad in 02.........I think.
Just about the whole state was without power for over a week. Talk about a fucking mess. My mom lost 5, 30 ft pines her back yard. The state came around to pick up the debris - I had a 20 yrd. long 5 ft high tree pile for them to pick up.......which they finally did 5 weeks later....

I remember that storm! It was right before my family moved down here. Our real estate agent came over to film a walkthrough of the house because we wouldn't be able to actually visit the place. He spoke to us over the phone about the "warm winter weather" NC has. Then, we get this video and the whole back patio is a solid skating rink.
Thank god we weren't living down here then. People down here don't know how to drive in bad weather. A couple years ago, we got a quarter inch of snow and Raleigh's beltline was completely blocked for, like, six hours. It's ridiculous down here.

Thats what Iowa looked like last year... The ice was so heavy you could walk outside and listen to 5 foot round trees snapping in half, Hell it even snapped the electrical wire between post it was so heavy

about 8 inches here in sullivan county NY...and await more sunday...just finished dealing with tow guy who had to come a tow my car that skiddingd into my yard..went to go out in my other car and fount a flat tire..went to change flat and that is frozen and wont come off ahhhhhhh...why am in the mnts and not tropics gonna have to rethink that choice...also beginning to think no smoke=bad luck grrrrr
