HPS? or keep going with cfls?

Alright, right now I've got a small rubbermaid box with 8 cfls in it flowering my main plant. I've also got 4 clones growing under two cfls in my closet. I was wanting to make a larger box than what I've got now, and use it to flowering in in the future, and use the one I've got right now for veg. My plan was to go with a larger Rubbermaid box, just using like 30 gallon tubs instead of the 18 gallon one's I've got right now. Would it be possible to put a small HPS in a rubbermaid box, or is that just asking for a fire? Also, about how much does a small HPS setup cost? I'd like to go HPS as I've heard it's far superior to CFLs, just wondering if I can afford it, and whether it will work with what I've got planned. Thanks for the help in advance.

well first off, cfl's arnt the best for flowering but it has been done before. As for putting a hps in the rubbermaid box I'm not sure if that would be a fire hazard or not, I wonder if anybody has any experince with that in their grow journals? as for the price of hps Ive seen some stores sell small hps bubls for about 70 bucks?

If I were you Id stick to the safe way, with that 70 bucks you could buy quite a few powerfull cfl bulbs and not have to worry about creating a fire, or making it to hot in the grow box for the plant. hope that helps. :bigjoint:
