HPS/MH lighting "Bulb Conversion"

Correct me if I'm wrong. From what I understand, as long as you have a digital ballast, and even though you bought a HPS system, you can buy a MH conversion bulb and it will still work in the HPS ballast. Or am I all wet behind the ears here....

Be careful, the digital ballast technology is not lined up with bulb technology. Big name bulbs like hortilux, sunmaster, solarmax, you name it, get burnt out quickly by the digital ballast. Its no problem if you buy your bulbs in a store that covers warranty. It will probably not last the full year, so bring it in and get a fresh bulb for free. If you buy it online, by the time you ship it, you may have spent more than if you bought it at a store. You can swap it out the same day too and spend little time in the dark if you get it from your local hydro store. Sun Pulse is currently the only bulb specifically for digital ballasts. They make dual spectrum metal halide bulbs. They come in 6400k veg and 3000k bloom.
