HPS lighting questions regarding ballasts

I'm starting my second crop in a little storage room about 1 sq meter, maybe a little larger and am hoping to squeeze in about 8 or so plants. I'm going to be getting two 100 watt HPS bulbs, each giving out about 9,000 lumens. my questions are:
Will these two bulbs be enough to allow for proper vegetation and then flowering?
and
Will I need a ballast or fixture? or could I just screw them into a lamp since their low in wattage?

You need to get a ballast and socket for a 100w HPS bulb. You will not be able to use a lower rated bulb in a higher ballast or vice versa.

i dont wanna be the bearer of bogus-ness,but your probably going to have more in those 2 lights after you buy everything you need, than if you were to have searched ebay or what not and bought yourself a complete light set-up. but otherwise what you got will be sufficient.

i was just planning on flippin a lil fan on from time to time to cool the room, do you think that would at all help? i was also considering getting 150 watt (16,000 lumens). in 1.5 sq meter area, what wattage do ya'll think i should use?
HPS 70W=7,600 lumens
HPS 100W=9,500 lumens
HPS 150W=16,000 Lumens
does anyone have a suggestion of what wattage and how many bulbs i should get?
