Will a 150 watt hps bulb from home Depot work good to grow indoors? If so how many plants can I veg and flower with this one light?

Thanks for all the help

PS: The light cost about 100 dollars.

dont know never grown with hps i use them big cfls and everyone i know uses the same plus hps burns thats why no1 uses them around here my mate (Not saying any names) left his grow light on when he went to bed woke up and the light hangers broke burnt all is bud could be a lie i wasn't bothering with him when he told me this

What are these "big cfl's" like big wattage or in actual size? Where do I get them how many etc. What I want to know is if this hps will work.

hps will work $100 for a 150 set at home depot is really high every home depot I have been to has a 150 setup for about $65-80 in the outside light security section. You can do 4-5 full plants under 1 150 hps light

I've got 2 x 150w HPS and i've got 4 plants under each one and it's going great so far. I would go for more wattage but due to heat restrictions i went for the 150w.
But you know what they say, more Watts gets more bud!

100$ for 150watt hps security light?!?!?! that shit is out of control dude!!..u can get a 400watt hps system off ebay from HTGsupply for 150$ NEW IN BOX...and to the dude that says no ones uses HPS's..ur CRAZY! the best grows on this site have been done with hps's..dont get me worng i seen some pretty bad ass cfl grows..but HPS AND MH R #1 FOR PLANTS!

yeah he can get 400hps easy and cheap, but it has to be consideret the space...
if tiny space or medium i recomendet the 250hps or 150 with some tiny extra lights!
because HPS lights generate much heat, so maybe 400w is too much in that space... but if not, then buy it! but with hps lights yu need good fan and ventilation!!!

HPS lights are the best grow light what yu can buy, second best is MH lights, but i recomend use HPS & MH together.

yu can get very very nice result with 150w hps too, but better with more light.
i have seen what 150w hps can do, and thats amazing!!!! never before i wosent belive that... so good luck! and nice grow times dude!

heres what a 150watt,70wat,and a 50watt do..all from home depot..this was at day 39 flowering..i now have a 600watt hps/mh and its doing work on m ladies!..check it out in my sig..
