HPS bulb lasted two months! HTG SUPPLY EBAY

SO my Hps bulb burnt out after two months. I bought HTG supplys 600 watt digital grow light. anyone else had bad luck with their bulbs? it says Htg supply on the bulb so its probably made by some cheap chinese company and they slap their name on it. Whats a good bulb to buy?

Well I might have got 3 months use out of an HTG bulb, but that is about it. Get a Hortilux, expensive but lasts and great spectrum.

Was it a the argosun bulb??? I got two of them from when I bought my 600w digi. from HTG. They are not compadable with those ballast. If you call and talk to Tony. He will tell you the same thing. My first one exploded the first time i fired it. Thankfuly I had it in a cooltube at the time. The second one lasted about two weeks. When I called and told them, they said they knew about the problems with those bulbs in those ballast......they sent me two sunmaster bulbs!!! They were a very nice upgrade. I know its hard when money is tight but, DONT CHEAP OUT ON YOUR BULBS!

There are more than a few bulbs that just don't work well in digi ballast, since they were designed for magnetic ballasts.

The ones that do work in digi's are usually expensive.

I'll just stick with the proven technology of core and coil and bulbs that don't rape you with the price.

well it was the bulb I got with their 600 watt kit. I bought the same bulb from them this morning along with a GE Lucalox. The price of the bulb doesnt bother me. negative affects of having to switch to a metal hylide bulb in mid flower bugs me.

No doubt.

Have no experience with the HTG bulb, but have run the Lucalox with a magnetic ballast. Not sure how it will work in a digi ballast.

I had a 400w HTG branded bulb that came with a digital ballast. I think it lasted 8 months. It's a cheaply made bulb. But they cost so little, I still have one as a backup in case my good bulb goes out.

yeah fuck HTG. I bought a 150w HPS and got roughly 50hrs on it and it went out. Fucking bull shit. My plant is in flowering too
