where can i get a affordiable Hps ballast for a 250watt or 400 watt hps bulb.
i wwnt to home depot most they had was a 70w outdoor flood light good price on 400w hps and Mh bulbs though $20 each.

I am sure that would work in a small area. I grow in a small area using cfl's. I can't comment on the yield since I am on my first grow but it seems that some people get decent yields using only cfl's. You can check out my grow log in my signature if you would like to see what can be done with cfl's.

all those will work, but i was trying to do the same thing trying to find the best deal and they usually have warranties but when i asked about them it was a bit of a chore to get a replacement and it would take 4-6 weekes from the time they recieved it so i decided to pay the extra amount and go to my hydro store where all i have to do if i have a problem is bring it back no questions asked as long as its under warranty, but if you don't have a local hydro store those will do the trick, but the 250 only has a good coverage area of 2x2.

I got a digital 400watt HPS from HTG supply and have had no problems.Customer services seemed pretty good with them.
