hps and cx ho hps.and.cfl

Got 250w hps about 2 foot anyway from plant.and got cfl hanging down the.side of the plant 4" away
Will this be ok? as I got my temp perfect like this.

grow like a pro.. just take it as it comes and see what works best. asking ?'s like this is really basic stuff that you could of easily read up on by now.
general rule of thumb is if you can hold your hand where the tops of the plants are without it getting too hot for your hand then you're golden.

2ft is a long way away for a 250.. try 20- 25 inches if the plants are only young. then you can bring it closer the bigger and stronger they get.

I have to agree. It seems as though its thread after thread after thread of basic questions.

Hps gives off more heat than cfl.

In order to cool it, like I already stated in your last thread you need to exhaust using a decent inline fan.


Did you think you could just hang a light in a box and grow like a pro???


I've already told you to put your 125w cfl back in for now until you can afford a fan to cool and exhaust.


Try googling URBAN GARDEN MAGAZINE. Read through some of the online articles. This will help you no end.
