HPS 250w & Reflector Help

I'm not new to growing, but I'm new to indoor growing..

I have:
250w HPS bulb
Econo Wing Reflector (with no socket as of yet)

I was wondering 2 things..

Is this reflector safe to use with the HPS bulb?

& if it is..

What socket would be safe to use with the reflector and bulb?

Would a mogul base socket for self ballasted bulbs be okay to use?

Thank you in advance for any help regarding this.

havent seen that exact type of reflector, but if its made for grolights it can def take an HPS. Check to see if its sold with grolights at a shop or online, it sure sounds like it is.
However an HPS is NOT self-ballasted. ask at a groshop, you need a separate 250w ballast, which is usually £40 or $65 ish something like that. If you found a way to deliver electric from mains to bulb it wouldnt work without an igniter and regulator - thats what the ballast does. Sorry for the bad news [u need to spend more moola]

the econo wing reflectors are sold with up to 1000w hps kits on BGhydro.com so it will be fine.
