Do male seeds create seed pods with viable seed? Must I pollinate a female with a male to create seed? Wondering cause I just grabbed a gram of "GUMBO" and found a seed. I planted it, and am hoping to propagate this strain whether or not it's a female. I looked all over for this info and can;t seem to find an answer.. thanks fellas!:D

If you couldn't find info on this then you didn't look hard enough.

But to be nice....you need a male and a female plant in order to get seeds, unless the plant is a hermie, then it will produce it's own seeds since it has both male and female parts.

In order to get seeds from a female you must pollenate her with the males pollen, there are several techniques for doing this and that you must research on your own.

Basiclly your not gonna get seeds from 1 seed unless it's hermie. And having a male is useless, unless you know someone that wants pollen, but odds are most people don't wanna see a male!

homegrownboy, Your RIGHT. Sorry for being a digital dolt....but YOU ANSWERED MY QUESTION straight away, and I thank you. If this seed sprouts, I'm looking at some GUMBO or GUMBO POLLEN, which, in either case, is Totally awesome!

Did you germinate the seed?
If not then you must plant the seed no more then your fingernail deep, and keep it warm and moist.

if you want pollen and your plant ends up going male just grab a papper bag and place it over the plant ,bend n shake, mind u the plant has to be well into flowering and look to see if the balls are starting to open

You will need a female to germanate seeds unless it is a female then if you stress the plant it will produce male flowers whitch inturn will pollante the plant and all the seeds will be femanised well 99.9%.

Germination is the process whereby seeds or spores sprout and begin to grow...females have nothing to do with it. And no hermie plants will not give 99.9% of fem seeds, you'll find you get alot of hermied plants as well!!!!

And this guys question was already answered! smallclosetgrower and rob you guys gave good advice +rep to you both!
