how to post more than one thousand characters....

don't know who dunnit, but i can't post an article, due to more than one thousand letters.

any paper i have to write is more than 100,000 characters.

i cannot help by posting an article if i can't post the article.

can any of you site people help out? i can post a link, but it won't be clicked on. i need to post about 15 pages of info in reply to a help thread....

Why not post the first couple of paragraphs here, then a note saying "to read the entire article, click here" kind of thing?

That way, people that get interested in the first little bit, will click through to continue?

i meant ten thousand, but, it's annoying to have to stop a quarter through an article, especially when it's a step-by-step instructional guide to wiring ballasts... WITH pictures!

I ran into the limit myself a couple of times, I guess the only way around it is to spread it out over multiple posts.

Start the thread, reply to it as many times as you think is necessary to sort of claim the posts directly below, then you should have plenty of time to edit those posts and paste it in there.

The entire idea of the internet is so people don't duplicate the same stuff over and over. Once something is posted to the net, others can link to it, and view it where it's posted. Just supply a link, and if members want to read it they can click it.

If it's not posted anywhere else, then post it here in multiple posts.

thanks potroast. there USED to be a thread titled, '' how to wire your own grow light'', but i can't find it to link to it. it did have the link and the article, but you know people are lazy now; clicking a link is too much effort, and even though the question is answered, they won't put in the work to find out...

Someone else on RIU (I can't remember who) spreads long articles over numerous posts. In their first post in a new thread, they request that nobody replies or comments until they see "The Happy Plumber". Then, after all of the posts are included in his new DIY thread, he posts a pic of the Plumber, and people then can comment.
