Here's what you do. If no one can help you pay for school your on your own like me you need to get money from some where. First you are going to get a pell grant if you actually need it and a subsidized and un subsidized loan for the semester from you school. That leaves you with about $3000 left for rent, food, or whatever, until december. That's 4 months away! perfect to get in a nice harvest. Take that money and invest about $2500 into a really nice setup and nutrient schedule with co2 injection. Your first harvest will be at least 2 pounds in a 8x8 room with 2 1000 watt lights with an air exchange system. Worth about $7000 if its decent ( more if its the bomb).
The point i'm making is you're taking money and making more while paying your taxes anyway. Let me explain. When you purchase something or pay for something you pay your state tax (.06-.08 cents per dollar). The person or business that collects the money from you has to pay a 35% federal income tax on whatever revenue their companies generate anyway so the federal government is getting their money from you. ​
As long as your not drug dealing but have friends from like high school or college that you know already smoke your giving them safer product and not putting yourself at risk with criminals. Just dont tell anyone what your doing or they might want to take it. When you get your place, don't worry about spending a little more on rent and taking control of utility bills if it means added privacy. Just factor all that in to how much you need per harvest. You also can reinvest money to make improvements to your system. I now have a 8x8 area that gives me 1900-2000 grams with 3 week veg n 9 week flowering.
Don't get greedy and try to make lots of money, just enough to pay off your loans and school and survive until you get a real job. You will have plenty of time for school, get better grades, and learn a skill that can help you out if you ever need it again down the road.
