how to mix soil by %?

I see a lot of people saying they mixed 70% ffof 20% perlite 10%lime for example. How would you measure this mix.

Exactly... Say you have a 10 liter pot (2.5 gallons) and do 70% ffof and 30% perlite... 7 liters ffof to 3 liters of perlite... just to keep the example easy... Most growers give rough estimates of their mixes and don't measure it to an exact amount... Just to give you an idea..

I use FF OF and FF OPM with Perlite personally.. and do a 35% ffof 35% ff opm 30% perlite mix... Pretty much just 1/3 of the pot of each and mix... But I don't say 33.33% of each, simply because I added a little bit more soil then perlite when making my medium...
