So when & how much should I be fertilizing my vegetables and herbs with dr.earth and tomatoe tone?
for any flowering vegetables I’ll be using tomatoe tone for example tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplant &peppers
Apply Twice a month
Inground:
3 tbs per plant
container:
New plantings 6tbs per gallon of soil (1.5tbs per quart)
established plants: 1.5tsp per 4inches of pot diameter
For herbs I’ll be using dr.earth homegrown
I can’t seem to find instructions on fertilizing by the plant which I find to be easier ..
Apply Every 2 months
inground:
New plantings- 1 1/2 cups per 10sqft.
1 plant= 1sqft
So 1 1/2 cups divided by 10 = 0.15 cups(2.4tbs) per square foot/plant
I’ll use 3tbs instead then
established- 1 cup per 10sqft. = 1.5 tbs per squarefoot/plant or use 2tbs instead
Is this correct? ^^^
container:
new plantings -1/2 cup per 5 gallons
Established- 1/4 cup per 5 gallons
For dr.earth I feel like it should be applied more often instead of every 2 months specially in containers or stick to the bag instructions of every 2 months ?
