How to deal with high wind area

This one spot I was helping some buddy with it get like 25 mph to 35 mph wind like all day every day what should I do next year to break up the wind before it get to plants

heh...its hard to control the wind. If you put some type of barrier up it will probably topple onto your plant. best thing to do is move the plant to a calmer location. I live on the Colorado plains it gets pretty windy here with gusts upto 60mph lately. That can be to much for limbs that are bouncing that kind of weight around. But they do endure days with 30+ mph and they are strong beef castles bc of it. It can acclimate to the high winds tho.

All I can think is some heavy loose woven fabric with a lot of string up wind holding it in place from the main direction of the wind... Maybe a couple layers... One ten one twenty feet out from the predominant direction...

As a backyard grower I put up fencing around my garden and use old drop clothes around it. I roll them down then when it gets too windy I roll them up and use clothes pins to secure them. It has worked great for me.

You have any pics of that I know this year there was no fence to break up wind it gets to come full force from about 30 acres in the close fence was going to put up a 8 foot fence around the one acre grow area

I use 7' posts and 6' fencing. I can add pieces lattice to add another 3'. Materials are actually pretty cheap also. You can use old sheets, drop clothes, bankets, etc.

I have a garden in the mountains that I have this issue ....I use the black truckers tarp looking stuff it lets enough air through so it's not ripped by the wind yet it slows the wind down enough to where it doesn't hurt my girls ...it's fairly inexpensive for like a 25ft roll 4ft tall and I use metal pipes in the ground about every 6 feet attaching it with wire it's worked well for me the last few years and the wind can get pretty damn strong in that garden I was having trouble with my girls getting beat up but that fixed em up nicely no probs now I guess it all depends how big your grow is to for it to be cost effective
