Posting a series of tips for the entry level hobbyist...yes, experience does not eliminate mistakes. Seed germ in rapid rooter, transplanted to 6”x6” rockwool for FloraFlex DTW top feed cap. Day 9 rooter seemed extremely dry and misdiagnosed underwater leading to overwater. Same routine and planning for years but timers fail and sometimes user error leads to water on instead of off...eeek. Fast forward 10-days old: lime/very light green leaf to minor browning, drooping leaves, aka overwater. Swapped timer hardware, let heat climb to 77, and stopped water. I wasn’t satisfied so I took my air pump and regulated pressure low enough so that I stuck 1/4” FloraTubing directly into top of rw cube for a few seconds. I saw these ladies change color and stop drooping before my eyes. They were drowning...I did this years ago (literal mouth to cube) and thought the results were in my head. If you overwater...inject O2 to the roots by any means...if you need a straw and a deep breath, I am not kidding. Game changer recessive action, keep it simple...fast and direct O2 can revive a human brain in a moment, it can save a resilient plant before your eyes.
