Hey fellas so Im on my 3d week of flower and im using soil as my medium, I was just wondering is the plant thirstier know that shes in the flower phase:confused: Also im using shultz 10-15-10 at about 1/4 strengh is this sufficient enought from my plant or should I add more?

Any comments highly appreciated!!+rep as well for best comment

all i can say is they love wet and dry spurts. let the soil dry about 3 inches down then water again. the roots need air. also, never use shultz. get some real marijuana growing nutes.

get high, get by

Peace

nothing wrong with shultz. just have to test it with a more diluted application to start (which he's doing)

I would say learn to read your plants. when they start to look wimpy, water. when they're looking fat and lazy, back off. or just set up a drip system and water a bit everyday (i do 2mins every 24hrs with a FFOF and coco/perlite mix)

the soil will tell you when to water and when not to, the soil should not always be wet/drenched because it will get root rot so water when about 3-4 inches down into the soil is dry like the other guy said

The most important factor on deciding how often to water is size of the pot. I use 2-3 gallon pots and I give each plant 20-24 ounces of nute water daily.
The pan under your pot will let you know when you are over-watering. As long as that pan stays dry you are not over-watering. I believe watering more often
like I do gives the roots more "face time" with 2 of the 3 elements needed for growth -- water and nutes. The third element, oxygen, should be always available
unless you planted in mud.

Good luck, BigSteve.
