hi,

quick question.

i did a lot of research before my grow, the 1 thing i didn't do was to calculate the cost of running a 600w hps lamp.

i read somewhere it could be up to 1000 pounds a year?!?!

is that correct/near correct?

idk about the uk but in GA it's .7c per kwh

take the wattage of your 600W lamp and divide it by 1000 to convert it to kW. then multiply by your rate, then multiply by the amount of hours on per day, and then multiply by 30 days in a month.

You sure thats not .07$ per kwh? if its .70$ that means that one 400w HID lamp will cost 151.2$ a month, that doesn't seem right.

.7 cents is .007 dollars .7$ is 70 cents you confused the shit outta me man i was freeaking out thinkin my 400w lamp would cost me 150$ a month

naw a 400w will barely cost you $20 depending on where you live.

Ya I figured it back up after I got a hold of one of my electric bills and got the kwh rate and it comes out to about 17$ a month for me to run a 400w lamp.
