How much do you water and how often?

Hey,

My Baby sprouted last week and I have been watering it everyday however it has been raining alot in Rochester so I did not for a few days.

How often should you water it and how much....

But will it still grow if I do not give it water everyfew days?

Sounds to me like you should be more concerned with over watering... I am a naughty newbie myself and my one soil plant and I get wet and wild every day or every second day. You gotta play it by ear though, before I ever give my plant water I stick a finger about 2.5" into the soil and see how wet it is down there. If it is dry it is a big water day if it is moist, I frown, give the leaves a quick spritz and leave the thing alone. I water with only a 455Ml bottle and have a HUGE pot so it is hard to go overboard

the way i do it i first check the weight of the pot if it feels light i then put my finger in the soil down to the first or second joint on my finger to chechk how moist the soil is if its not very moist i water it till i get water coming out the bottom of the pot. tyhen wait atleast a week till i check again. by leting the soil get a little dry it makes the roots go looking for water. you get better root ball the healther the plant. if your still having trouble with watering get a moister metertry to rember how much your pot weighs when its just been watered & how much it weights when its dry. water weights 8 lbs per gal. gl on your grow may you be curesed with many buds

ive got a freind that produces killer buds, great size and quality, and he grows in soil and waters just a little everyday like in a 3 gal pail he would give it 1/2 a litre a day ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,any one ever here of watering everyday, ? i know he flushes it in the last 14 days and the stuff is allways good,,,,,,but to water everyday ,you think youd get a salt build up, or root rot ...........any replys much appriciated

Actually I watered my first outdoor grow every day and my first indoor I have been doing the same once they were bigger and so far so good! Just singles not pints!

Alternate days with just water to minimize salt build up.

Unless there's is a lot of perilite I wouldn't water soil daily. In general with plants you get better roots with fewer deep waterings than frequent light waterings. Though hydro is a different animal

Seedlings -- water daily with 1-2 tablespoons warm water. I also mist them a couple times a day during the first week.
