how many plants for 250w hps?

hello i want to build my first cannabis and im buying a 250w hps bulb. i dont know how many plants should i grow on this light.

i am a newbie man so i dont know much but it would depend on the size of your grow room i think.
post the size of your area and someone should help you.

i put six under one light when their a foot tall and works good for me

there is still light on the sides that would still work but not as strong

I have had up to 8 but i found that you will get just has much by growing 2/3 plants let them veg for longer and you will get just has much yeild,If you are going to do around 6 plants make sure that they are a nice short bushy strain.I'm not saying you won't get a decent ammount i can just about make one crop last till next is ready.I started with one now i have a nice little thing going i have a small room with 4 of them energy saveing lights in you know the ones the ones with 3 u shaped lights on each fitting each 1 is the same has a 75 watt light bulb but they use very little electric iuse this room for my clones.Then i put six clones in the first room for 3/4 week then i put them in room b the other room i have a second 250watt light in.Ialso keep a couple of mothers trimmed short till i need some clones but its a constant turnaround.good luck you are not born with luck make your own save £50 out of your first crop and you will get light and ballast bulb for 50/65pound you your first crop has outlay to exspaned.good growing

Well an ideal rule to go by would be 10,000 lumens per plant, I think a 250 has some where around 30,000 lumens. So I would say go for 3 strong plants, or add some cfl's or t5 floru's on the walls and maybe go 6

Id say u will be ok with as many plants as u can ram in a 2.5 sqaure area.. using the 4 plants per square foot ruls that sounds like u could easily do 8 plants...Do clones and put them directly in flower upon root growth.. Id go more plants myself and go with the previous advice of a short growing plant so u can keep ur lights close and utilize ur wattage/cubic foot man...
THey say minimal 50 watts per sq.ft.
Id go at least 75-100
THey say 4 plants per sq.ft.
In a smart system u can exploit all these things..
Heres 13 plants in a single 18 gallon tub DWC style..Roughly 3 sq.ft. i put 300 watts of hps over them and am trying to blow my yields out of the water ..we shall see what happens using these insane growers valuable knowledge and techniques.
