HOW many LUMENS for 2 PLANTS???

I don't do lumens but a good rule of thumb is 50 watts per square feet or higher to flower.

yeah the blue is better for beg. red for bloom.

2000-3000+ lumens/square foot. The sun is 10,000/square foot, so ofc you can go higher than 3000 if you can deal with the heat. Less than 1000 won't give you very good results at all.

The generally accepted rule is 10k lumens per sq ft during flower.

A mixed spectrum is the best with the balance leaning towards one or the other for the different stages. If you are going to have multiple lights mix them up

I've always done just one or the other, does it make a whole lot of difference? If it does, then I will be changing...

Not a whole lot, but a small difference. If I had 4 bulbs I would do 3 of the same and 1 different, with only 2 I would stick to one spectrum

Yes, 1/3 blue, and 2/3 red will keep the leaves healthier for longer which means bigger buds.

I wouldn't bother going 1/1 but like Cap says 1/3 or 1/4

I use a 600 hps, and a 400 dual spectrum MH gives me something like 1/4. But I'm planning to add 4x 125w purple ecolight cfl's, which will give me about 1050w red and 450w blue.
