Hey,

I want to have a CFL setup but I am in a 3 feet wide and it is about two to three feet tall.

How many lights would I need during vegging and flowering?

Also are clamp reflectors needed if I already have reflecting material in my grow cab?

-Thanks.

Just get two of these instead:

It would cost more money with cfl's you would need a whole lot of them to use that whole space and then all kinds of crap to connect them all. With the above though it would only cost $54 and you would never need another light. (just $5 replacement bulbs every two grows or so)

HPS can't be beat.

Aside from that, watch some of these growing video's so you get the basics down before you start:

You only think you can't. Truth is it will be LESS heat than a sufficient number of cfl's.

Nobody ever listens or believes this though, so I leave you to cfls... And still wish you good luck either way, just trying to help.

No in order to use less cfl's you would need to use a smaller space, a little cabinet in there.
It would take 400-500w (actual) of cfl's combined to do that area but if you make a small box in there like 1' deep x2' wide then you could use just 5 42w cfl's. (or 6)

The 42w is about the sweet spot for getting some strong light on a regular bulb budget. If you used smaller ones, well, I think that's pretty wasteful cause you'll need a lot more and they won't be as efficient.

look i grow 4 plantsin my closet, not sure of the actuall deminsions, <<<<<spelling. ive found that 12 lights is the minimum for an average harvest (20gm.-1.5oz/plant). i use 12 - 23wt(6500k) for veg and 8 - 42 watts for top lighting and 4 - 23 watts(2700K) for side lighting during flower,( during the last 2-3 weeks i switch positions of the 4-23wt and 4-42wt so the lower/side buds can mature and i get some dank plants for just bagseed, planing on growing Nirvanas "Papaya and doing a journal on it. By the way that 150 watt HPS puts out 15000 lumens. thats good for the price. but my CFL setup puts out 28000 lumens and i can position them where the plants need them, BUT, For 20 bucks you can beat it.

Hey guys,
I'm a total noob in regards to indoor lighting. Stealth is my main concern. If I was to purchase a 36"x20"x62" grow tent, what kind of cfl setup would I need or is the tent too big for these lights?

are those actual watts or incandescent equivalent? its probally 42watt CFL=150watt incandescent and 55wattCFL=200watt incandescent. trust me a 150watt CFLS=400watt incandescent would not be sold at walmart especially not foe 13 bucks.....only in a dream, lol
