how many cfm for 400 watt cooltube?? +rep

small room grow how many cfm fan should i get passing tho a home made carbon filter the blowing outside?

I'm usung a 80 cfm on mine atm. It's not big enough for the summer but does ok in the winter. 240cfm would be the min to get. imo. What is a co2 filter?

how much was it?

I think they run about 200.00 at ww grainger. about the same on line. Notice I don't have a new one yet. I have a bath fan pushing air atm. It's great just not big enough.

im intrested in this thread. What size is your room? I just bought a 400w myself.

Myself included.. just picked up a 400 watter from a buddy, got me a cool tube and a nice 24" x 24" x 48" self made box for it.. did a test run with temps with halide in the tube and about 6 " below the tube i can keep it at a steady 90-91 degrees Fahrenheit. at the very base in-direct light i get a reading of 83-86 F it fluxs i guess because its in direct light idk. i got the Milwaukee's beast cool tube from texashydroponics.com for 89.99 and because of its size i think my exhaust of it works marvelous.. i have at each open end of the tube a 120mm pc fan rated at 57.86 CFM, one blowing/pushing new air across and the other one pulling it through.. pretty sick alot of people said it couldnt be done, but i'm an over-achiever. right now im installing the fan that goes into the actual box, its a type of '' window ac unit'' minus the ac part. just two 9 '' built in fans that both have a button option of In/Out so at any second you can change the flow. * Note i did those temp tests without the inside fan installed yet* Get pictures up asap.

my room is 4x9x7 temps hold at about 75-80. but will go up a little when it gest warmer. I run the light about 8" off the plants.

i run it 10 with no cooltube so maybe i just need more venting

I have to stay off about 18" without. also took about 10 deg off the room.

you could prob get away with the 4 or 6 inch inline fan from HTG, i got the 4 inch, its 170 for like 80 and the 6in 4xxcfm for 100 i wish i go the 6 inch now but i paid 120 for the fan and carbon filter it was 180 for 6in an bigger filter, might exchage fan for the 6inch since im geting 6 inch cool reflector an use a 6-4 reducer for the carbon filter and i got a fan controller so i wont use full power, but its there when i need it.. ta know, iregreat it.. im goin to try to exchange.
