how many 600w lights can be supported by 7kw generator?

Just got this power generator left over from my friends move into a house Briggs & Stratton Dual-Mode Backup Generator System — 7 kW, Model# 40248 | 6,000 - 10,999 Watts | Northern Tool + Equipment

how many lights/plants equipment can this generator support???????

any response(s) will be extremely appreciated

I will be using 600watts so any suggestions

theoretically, a 7,000 watt generator could support 11 600 watt lamps (6600 watts). but I have heard that ballasts suck up more energy than they are rated for so in reality you would probably have to run less. overloading a generator will destroy it quickly.

this generator is specifically called a "backup" generator. im sure that this means it is for emergency use and that if you tried to put a continuos load on it, i.e. 12 hours a day, it would burn up before you even got your first crop.

i would say 8 or 9 just on the safe side.
