I think the color of your trichs are what you need to look at. Not the pistil

They look pretty frosty. Nice! They will fatten up next. Then harvest. Some strains, the pistils won't turn brown. You don't want to harvest early before they swell up. When the trichs Amber up, then you are starting to head towards getting outside your harvest window. You'll know when to chop.

I'm on trichome watch too mine is just like yours (pistil wise just beginning to darken) but my trics are about 30% milky 70% clear maybe Christmas eve. I'm cutting down 1 cola next Friday to test how I like it after a 4-7 day dry (more like 3-4 days my closet is at 31% RH right now), I want Santa to bless me with a nice fat Gotti for Christmas.
But you MUST get a scope or a loupe so you can chech your trics, very importatant and do a proper cure. Got my mason jars ready my small hygrometers ready (6) my Boveda packs are on the way, I'm amped up this is my first grow but a quick learner.
I flipped to 12/12 on Oct. 17, my seeds broke ground Sept. 5-12, 4 plants, do the math.

AK 47, (2 freebees) Marmalate, Polar Express, Bag Seed from some bad ass weed I had this past summer, mystery strain.
Surprise, Surprise woke up this morning checked the trics and my Polar Express was ready for harvest waiting now for the other 3.

My camera battery died so I don't have pics I was pissed as hell but I will take some pics tomorrow. The yield isn't mind blowing but it's decent for my first grow and harvest and it's personal stash. Plus I still have 3 more plants to go.

Watch trichs. 10% -20% amber chop
Watch brownish orange hairs. When they recede into the calyx. The calyx will then swell over 2-3 days then chop. After that more leaf will start growing
Yeah I was fucking with you. 16 weeks would be a haze or sativa landrace from the start.
