how long do seeds last?

the attitude is having sales on seeds i have been looking at for a while so I was thinking if I go ahead and buy them maybe I should just buy all the ones I want so I never have to again. But I won't be able to grow them all only a couple at a time, so if I bought too many I think they might go bad because it takes months to grow and I'd only grow once a year as I don't need a lot of the medicine for a year 1-2 plants would be enough. Will they go bad if they sit around too long?

that is what i have done i baught all the seeds i need, i got most of them stored away in a dark cool cupboard
i've germed a seed that was 2 years old recently and that was fine, not too sure as to how long they actually last though :)

hehe yeah if i thought so, i read they found seeds on a chinese guy like 3000 years old and they grew! so i will probably do that now just to figure out which ones i want the indicas the sativas don't work right on me.

from what i've read, cold storage can keep them for 5 years easy, maybe longer
i just sprouted a 1 1/2 year old seed, popped in 12 hours which is a good sign of viability

Go for it and buy your seeds. They hold up for a very long time if stored in air tight container in freezer. Nirvana has 20 NY Diesel seeds for price of 10 this weekend, about $32 for 20 seeds!! Almost a buck a seed for Diesel is AWESOME

thanks guys i will do it then if things work out i won't have to buy seeds again for a long time but i want indica plants that are true breeding, i look at them and they give them gay names like warlock and stuff but the genetics are like afghan x skunk for them. It is like many of these guys just really breed the same plants and then give them names so they sound cool and try to make you pay more for them but if you look they are the same genetics as another guy. So I will buy true breeding strains that way I can make seeds and not have the problem of hybrids that will produce all kinds of different offspring and I prefer to get a natural strain not to heavy that it messed me up I like old school natural outdoors the way God meant it not all this gay stuff or gimmicks like porno seeds lol. Ok thanks.

no question there's a lot of sketchy strains, IBL's are what you want
but you may want to be cautious with landraces, they don't always turn out so great in the inside
or so i've read, landraces are my next step
