How long do plants flower?

Im at 4 weeks and a bit, almost 5 weeks i guess. I need to know how much longer; the tricomes are just starting to come out, i trimmed a bud off and trimmed it up and theres bud slowly coming out, so i think its done flowering and going to start budding now; but how long does it flower, and how long does it bud for?

ANY ANWSER WOULD BE NICE< DONT JUST VIEW THIS THEN PEACE OUT, LIKE SERIOUSLY ITS ANNOYING.

Usually between 8 and 12 weeks to fully develop buds.

Yep depending on the strain.

flowering and budding are the same thing!

The flowering cycle begins once your switch your lights to 12/12


IT is a plants flowering cycle that produces buds.

AS for how long it takes to flower, there are many many things that contribute to flowering times.
1. Strain INDICA/SATIVA
2. Environment where it was grown
3. LIghts used HID/CFL/T5/SUNLIGHT
4. Stress that the plant has been under during growing.

Now generally you can say that MJ plants are done flowering between 8-15weeks depending on the above things.

Indica plants generally take 8-10weeks of flowering

Sativa plants generally take 11-15weeks of flowering.

To tell whether you have indica or sativa look at the leaves of the plant.

If they are fat leaves then the plant is Indica.

If they have long thin leaves then the plant is Sativa.


There are also Hybrids which are a mix of both indica and sativa strains. You can find with these hybrids that they grow with Fat leaves showing INDICA characteristics but once they are flowering the leaves begin to THin out like that of sativas.

First off stop trimming off your buds! Leave you plant alone or you are going to stress it out durring flowering and that is a bad thing. Give it some time and cutting bud off the plant right now you are smoking bud that isn't at it's best.

STOP re-fuckulating the leaves.

The leaves are like solar panels. That's where the plant gets its energy from. It isnt any different than switching out the light bulb you have now, for one half the wattage. Keep things simple, let the plant decide which leaves it doesn't need anymore.

IF you didnt need all those extra leaves....why would the plant grow a bunch of extra leaves??? Specificly the ones that are sticking out of the classic looking cola..

Your approx halfway there.... but you can clip them anytime you like if you don't want full strength bud...

oh yea, i found out one of my plants is indica, the other sativa. (found this out from a post here). so basically, one will be done 2-4 weeks before the other one. my indica i probably have 3 weeks left now since this is posted today, and my sativa probably has at least 5 weeks left, 6 to fully ripen. just guestimating as this is my first grow.
