Alright my plant is growing trichomes like a motherfucker the leaves surrounding the forming buds are getting super crystally. And on the top bud I can see little little specks of orange on some of the hairs...I don't want the plant to end up dying off before it produces buds..is that a possibillity..I mean the buds don't really look like buds yet..they're growing but still a lot of white hairs ...and the bottom part of her still has the two hairs coming out of the calyx while the rest of the plant has twents or thirty white hairs...towards the top.. when harvest comes around can I just chop the top half off and let the bottom continue to flower? I have pictures but will probably be of no use.

Flowering usually takes 8-11 weeks. So use that as a general rule. Really tho, the best thing you can do for your plant is take yourself to Radioshack, get a $10, 30X+ microscope (has a little LED on it) and check the colors or your trichs. It defffinitely takes some practice to see the little f'ers but if you harvest your plant based on these three steps, in no particular order, you just can't go wrong!

1. weeks flowering, 2. look of the plant, 3. trich color (clear = non-psychoactive, cloudy = cerebral high, amber = couch lock high, brown = thc is degrading). By using the trich color you can also partially dictate the type of high your plant supplies. GL!

Not unless you fuck with it.

Yes, you can.

My girls start getting frost about 8 or 10 weeks prior to harvest.

Don't listen to people who say harvest early, and don't believe the # of day to ready the sellers tell you, that's bull-shit.

When you plant looks similar to this, you have about a week to go.
