How far do I keep my 150w hps from my seedlings??

i had a question. how far should i keep my 150w hps from my seedlings? they just showed their first set of leaves, not the round ones, but the pointy ones. I have the light 6" from the pot. i had to lower it cuz it looked like they started to stretch. is this the correct height? i see on here people use different heights. the light isn't too hot cuz i can keep my hand under it without it getting uncomfortable.

Yes about 6 inches to a foot depending on how big you want your plants. I'd keep the light where your at.

You did the hand test you should be good just monitor it daily.
